In English - Part 2
Last week we talked about Humility.
Did you take a more humble approach to your communication?
What response did you have?

Next: Ambition

The 'louder' people get asked due to your more subdued voice, 'are you OK?'
Ha!
It makes you wonder what the world thinks of you.

What I find is that people will naturally assume the best in your statements. They will naturally exaggerate for you!
The problem comes when they do not know about your experience or competence in an area. Or if your humility comes over as a lack of confidence, ignorance or embarrassment.

The next lesson from Sir Ed Hillary on Achievement is AMBITION.

Whilst he was very humble, he was also very ambitious.
He climbed the highest mountain.
He was one of the greatest Antarctic pioneers.

The word ambition is sometimes considered negative.
Unmotivated, sceptical, lazy, ignorant, under-confident people like to spit the word out as if ambition is a form of greed. Or it means 'winning at all costs.'
This is SO wrong, AMBITION is a 'great desire to achieve'.
It is positive, optimistic.
It is fundamental to success.
Fundamental to growth, development, & improvement.

It is fundamental to success in Network Marketing.
So what is your AMBITION in your business?
I always think ambition goes beyond purely 'goals' as most people think of them - I want a BMW.
I also think it is more detailed than a Mission or Vision as most people conceive them - I want to help people. It's not vague and dreamy.
To me ambition is a Mountain Peak. Lofty, inspiring, yet definable.

The only point I would make is that it should be attached to some greater mission.

An example would be - I want to become a Diamond Distributor because then I will have the organisation and confidence necessary to improve the health of 10,000 people.

Sir Ed created a Trust that built many schools for the Nepalese Sherpa children over the past 40 years. He always left children with the following advice 'Aim High and Good Luck'.

Good advice to ambitious Networkers!

What is your ambition?

Do you want to climb the mountain or are you aiming for the hillsides?

Have a FANTASTIC day!
